Impact Stories
Marcus Finds His Path
Marcus was struggling to afford college until the Foundation’s scholarship helped him enroll at Sacramento State. Now a sophomore in business administration, he mentors other youth in his neighborhood.
Building Confidence in Jasmine
When Jasmine started our mentoring program, she was shy and uncertain. Two years later, she leads student government at her high school and volunteers as a peer tutor.
South Sacramento Clean-Up Day
Over 50 volunteers came together to clean up parks, paint over graffiti, and plant trees in South Sacramento. The neighborhood looks brighter and the community spirit is stronger than ever.
David’s First Board Meeting
David joined our youth leadership council last year. This spring, he presented his community project proposal to the full board — and got unanimous approval. He’s 17 and already leading change.
Elena’s Nursing Dream
Elena always wanted to become a nurse but thought it was out of reach. With the Foundation’s support, she’s completing her prerequisites at Sierra College and applying to nursing programs this fall.
From Troubled to Thriving
Three years ago, Isaiah was on the verge of dropping out. His mentor showed up every week. Today Isaiah is graduating on time with a 3.2 GPA and plans to study engineering.
